01:56 GMT 14.10.2018 (Updated: 19:34 GMT 03.11.2022) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - A small plane carrying 3 passengers crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Long Island, local media reported, citing the US Coast Guard.
A twin-engine Piper PA-34 plane which had taken off in Connecticut crashed into the water near the Hamptons in Long Island, according to the New York Post. One body was recovered following the incident, the newspaper reported.
Search and rescue operations for the other passengers are ongoing.
