16:44 GMT 15.08.2018 (Updated: 12:13 GMT 06.08.2022) A local police department that shared the video, has warned residents about the dangers of leaving food in unlocked car near the bears' habitat as animals are actually capable of opening vehicle doors.
El Dorado (California) County's Sheriff's Office has a shared video on Facebook of an encounter between one of its employees and a young bear that got stuck in a local resident's car. After brief consultations, one of the policemen decided to drive off the bear using rubber bullets. After several shots in the rear windshield of the car the glass became fragile enough for the bear to crack it and extricate itself.
