Six Afghan Security Guards Killed on Way to Bagram Air Base Monday

Six Afghan security guards were killed and two guards were wounded on their way to Bagram Air Base on Monday, according to US Forces Afghanistan.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — A gunman killed six Afghan security guards and injured another two on their way to Bagram Air Base on Monday, US Forces Afghanistan said in a release.

"The guards came under fire from an unknown gunman while traveling to Bagram airfield," the release stated on Tuesday. "Two additional security guards were injured and transported to a local hospital after the attack."
