"Based on satellite imagery, in the first analysis of its kind, this report shows that around the world today, 300 million children live in areas with extremely toxic levels of air pollution," the new UNICEF report said.

The report's foreword by the UNICEF Executive Director Anthony Lake urged the world's countries, both developed and developing, to carefully monitor and eliminate factors that contribute to the spread of the air pollution. Lake advocated for the improved urban planning, sustainable energy solutions and better transportation systems.
