The Rosneft CEO said US shale oil industry will not compete with Russian fuel in the Asia-Pacific market.

VERONA (Sputnik) — Shale oil produced in the United States will not compete with Russian oil in the Asia-Pacific region, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin said Thursday.

"Do not forget that shale oil is primarily a resource for the US market, while predominant growth will be in the Asia-Pacific. Shale oil will not compete with us in the Asia-Pacific market," Sechin told reporters at the Eurasian Forum in Verona.
