US Network CBS Bans Ads for New Film That Exposes Its Inaccurate Reporting
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US tech giant Google has closed a deal with media company CBS Corp. for a planned online TV service that would allow limited programming “bundles” for viewers who prefer not to sign up for traditional cable service, media reports said Wednesday.

"Google Inc. has reached an agreement with CBS Corp. to carry the broadcast network on its soon-to-be-launched web TV service," the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

According to the newspaper, the new service, called Unplugged, is scheduled to begin in early 2017.

It would allow viewers to pay $25 to $40 a month for live channels, the newspaper said.

Along with its new CBS agreement, Google is continuing negotiations with Walt Disney and 21st Century Fox for online distribution of their content, now carried across multiple cable channels.
