China Radio Int'l Offers Sputnik China to Create Joint Brand

China Radio International (CRI) offered Sputnik China to create a joint brand, Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency’s Director General Dmitry Kiselev said Tuesday.

BEIJING (Sputnik) — At a round table of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development, Kiselev said:

"My colleague, CRI Director-General Wang Gengnian has offered me to create a joint brand of some kind, cooperation. Meaning [he offered] to unite our global information distribution opportunities, to unite the efforts of CRI and Sputnik. Obviously, we are interested in such an offer, we would like to hear more details about the technology."

He added that the level of trust both between the two countries' journalists, politicians and people is high enough to ensure that " Russia and our agency will receive a special, exclusive status, so that the sides will be able to disseminate information without additional filters."
