WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Some 34 percent of Americans said the United States should get "more involved" in Syria, while 30 percent said "less involved," according to the poll, which was released on Friday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has calculated that 355,000 people have been killed in the conflict.
"Syria now has the second-worst image of 21 countries rated in a new Gallup poll, with only North Korea rated worse," the organization said.
"Four out of five Americans now say they have an unfavorable view of Syria, a rise from 74 percent a year ago," the Gallup poll reported.
