The airstrikes were confirmed by an Israeli military statement released on Monday, according to the Jerusalem Post.
"The IDF views Hamas as being the party responsible for what takes place in the Gaza Strip," the statement said. The Israeli military also added that it "will continue to act with severity to keep the calm in southern communities."
The strikes reportedly targeted a Hamas training camp in central Gaza, and come in response to a rocket which landed in Israel's Eshkol Regional Council on Monday morning. That rocket caused no injuries or damage.
