    According to the White House press secretary, the US president and his Egyptian counterpart discussed ways to boost Cairo’s counterterrorism fight.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Fattah al-Sisi have discussed in a Monday phone call ways to boost Cairo’s counterterrorism fight, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said in a briefing.

    "They discussed ways to deepen the bilateral relationship and support Egypt’s fight against terrorists, and bolster Egypt’s home-grown and historic economic reform program," Spicer stated on Monday.
