WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – US citizens who are in the Karak province in Jordan should take security precautions amid a shootout between gunmen and local security forces, US embassy in Jordan stated in a message via Twitter on Tuesday.
"We have received reports about shootouts between gunmen and security forces in Karak province," the embassy tweeted. "We urge individuals in the area to shelter in place and to continue to avoid the area for the time being."
