MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Germany expresses condolences to Pakistan reeling from a terrorist attack on a police academy in the northern city of Quetta, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
"We condemn the gruesome attack on a police school in Quetta, which left over 60 people dead … We express our deepest condolences to all people of Pakistan," the German spokesman said.
The gun and bomb attack on the hostel of the police training center in the turbulent Balochistan region also wounded around 120 others.
Pakistani media reported that Islamic State, a terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the brutal attack. The German spokesman warned terrorists were trying to split the country and urged to stand up against them.
