LONDON (Sputnik) – The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will decide on whether to invite the United States to its November 30 meeting in Vienna after the US presidential election, OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo said Tuesday.
Barkindo urged reporters in London to wait for the November 8 elections before extending an invitation for the US head of state to attend OPEC's meeting.
The major oil producers are expected to announce the date to introduce a 32.5-33 million barrels per day oil output ceiling on November 30 in Vienna.
