North Korea’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ri Yong-ho said that Pyongyang will continue to build its nuclear arsenal to deter threats against the country from the United States and other nations.

UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) Pyongyang will continue to build its nuclear arsenal to deter threats against the country from the United States and other nations, North Korea’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ri Yong-ho said in a UN General Assembly address on Friday.

"The government of the DPRK [North Korea] will push ahead with the vigorous struggle to remove the root cause of the threat of nuclear war imposed by the United States by means of powerful nuclear deterrence," Ri stated.
