MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The joint work on Syria settlement carried out by Russia and the United States is effective in many respects, despite some fundamental differences, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Monday.
"Right now, negotiations led by the UN Secretary General's Special Representative Staffan de Mistura are continuing. There, our representatives are also actively cooperating with the Americans. Despite certain flaws, even fundamental differences on some issues, we note that this work is ongoing and that it is effective in many respects," Ryabkov told RIA Novosti.
