    US, Cuba Establish Direct Postal Services

    Delegations of the United States and Cuba agreed to re-establish direct postal service between the two countries, according to Cuba's foreign ministry.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States and Cuba have agreed to establish a direct postal service, the Cuban delegation participating in the talks between the two countries announced in a release on Friday.

    "Both delegations agreed to re-establish direct postal service between the two countries through the implementation of a Pilot Plan for the transportation of mail which will become effective within the next few weeks, with the hope of eventually institutionalizing it on a permanent basis in the future," the statement said.
