Russia Confirms A321 Brought Down by Terrorist Explosive Device
CAIRO (Sputnik) — According to the source, the investigation led by Egypt has yet to obtain evidence confirming a terrorist attack, and Egyptian authorities are currently trying to clarify the situation with Russia.

Earlier in the day, Russian authorities announced that the plane crash in Egypt was caused by a homemade bomb, as confirmed by traces of explosives on the plane's debris, and deemed the disaster a terrorist act.

A Russian Airbus A321 with 224 people on board crashed on October 31 while en route from Egypt's resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, leaving no survivors. Various possible causes of the tragedy have been set out by aviation experts, ranging from a terrorist act to a technical glitch.
