US Defense Secretary said that Turkey should be more involved in the anti-Islamic State campaign.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Turkey should increase its participation in the fight against the Islamic State, US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said in a briefing on Thursday.

"We do want Turkey to do more in the fight against ISIL [Islamic State]," Carter said. "They need to join the ATO [Anti-Terrorist Operation] and they need to work more on controlling their border."
