MOSCOW, September 26 (RIA Novosti) - An unknown man wielding a knife has stabbed four school children to death in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, local authorities.
State-run Xinhua news agency cited local authorities as saying Friday the attack took place at 6:20 a.m. local time (10:20 GMT) in the village of Pingshan.
Three children were killed on their way to school, while another one died at hospital of mortal wounds. Police are now looking for the suspect, who is believed to be a middle-aged man.
This is yet another incident in a string of violent attacks on children in China. Earlier this month, three children died and six were hurt in a knife attack at a school in China's central Hubei province, while in December 2012 a man with a knife attacked children near a school entrance in the Henan province, wounding 22.
