    MOSCOW, August 27 (RIA Novosti) – The negotiations, focused on energy issues and involving the energy ministers from Ukraine, Russia and the European Union, will be held on September, 6, the website of the Ukrainian president reported Wednesday.

    “The president said that on September, 6 the talks on energy issues between the energy ministers from Ukraine, Russia and the European Union will take place,” the statement said.

    Earlier on Tuesday, Minsk was hosting the Customs Union-Ukraine-EU meeting. Following the trilateral talks, President Poroshenko met with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a private conversation, which lasted for about two hours.

    Following the results of the talks with the Ukrainian leader, Putin said that the sides had agreed on a necessity to resume consultations on gas and energy issues.
