«Yesterday evening two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed in combat in the Gaza Strip," an army statement said.
The total number of Israel’s military deaths since the start of ground operation has reached 37.
Eight Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike, four of them children, the agency said citing emergency services. Another 20 people were wounded. The overall death toll among Palestinians has hit 879.
