Dutch Special Services have detained an F-16 fighter pilot from the country's Air Force on suspicion of spying for Belarus, Radio Netherlands Worldwide website reported on Friday.
The 37-year-old Dutch pilot is accused of passing state secrets to a foreign country.
According to DutchNews.nl, which cites Telegraaf daily, the pilot accused of spying for Belarus was "planning to do business" with a national from the ex-Soviet state.
The Dutch prosecutor's office declined to comment on the incident, citing "interests in the investigation in regard to the delicacy of the issue from a diplomatic point of view."
The pilot was detained on March 17 and military charges will be brought against him on June 9.
