Creepy Crawler: Giant Scary-Looking Golden Orb Weaver Spider

    Get short URL

A woman stayed totally chill as she allowed this massive golden orb weaver to crawl up her arm. It might give you goosebumps just watching it, but this spider is actually considered harmless to humans, despite its large size.

In this footage, captured on August 10 in Pensacola, Florida, the giant spider can be seen peacefully crawling up and down a woman's arm. Together with its feet, this golden silk orb weaver's length reaches more than 12 centimeters. The creatures are known for their surprisingly strong web, often golden-colored, hence the spider's name, the golden orb weaver. They are also commonly called giant wood spiders or banana spiders.
