All Aboard! Commuter Catches Grinning Doggo Riding NY Subway in Suitcase

While most New Yorkers are left either standing or sitting on hard plastic seats, one Golden Retriever got to ride the subway in style.

Vigilant rider Kristine Hizon noticed the commuting pup seconds after it popped its head out of a suitcase, which prompted her to quickly film the encounter. The dog-in-luggage ruse seems like a creative way to get around the MTA’s rules on animals riding the decades-old subway system.

As the rule states: "No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container and carried in a manner which would not annoy other passengers."

Consider yourself beat, MTA.

Although the dog does seem to appear cramped in the carry-on bag, Hizon, speaking to ABC7, said he seemed content and that the bag just appears to be smaller than it actually was.
