More than two months have passed since Joe Biden was inaugurated as president of the United States. However, he has been conspicuously slow in addressing the press, unlike his predecessors Donald Trump and Barack Obama, who held news conferences within a month of having been sworn in.

Sputnik comes live from Washington DC where President Joe Biden is holding his first press conference more than two months after having entered the Oval Office.

The state of the economy, the COVID-19 pandemic and the migrant crisis at the southern border with Mexico will be among the topics the president will be expected to discuss.
