MOSCOW (Sputnik) – US immigration authorities have freed a 10-year-old Mexican girl with cerebral palsy from custody after she was taken to a Texan hospital for surgery.
"Rosa Maria is finally free. We’re thrilled that she can go home to heal surrounded by her family's love and support," Michael Tan, attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), said Friday.
