Four companies in the US states of Idaho and Alaska won $48 million to supply hazardous, toxic and radioactive wastes services, according to the Pentagon.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Four companies in the US states of Idaho and Alaska won $48 million to supply hazardous, toxic and radioactive wastes services, the Department of Defense said in a press release.

"Environmental Compliance Consultants [of] Anchorage, Alaska; Sundance-EA [of] Pocatello, Idaho; Ahtna Environmental… and Brice Engineering [of] Anchorage, Alaska were awarded a $48,000,000 … contract for … hazardous, toxic and radioactive wastes services," the release said on Friday.

Work on the contracts is scheduled to last for five years with an estimated completion date of July 20, 2022 and will be under the supervision of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, the Defense Department said.
