US President-elect Donald Trump will nominate former governor of the US state of Georgia Sonny Perdue as his Secretary of Agriculture, media reported.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Fox News claimed in a Twitter post on Wednesday that it had confirmed Perdue was tapped by Trump to head the Department of Agriculture.

The Department of Agriculture was the last Cabinet post pending a Secretary nominee.

Perdue served as governor in Georgia from 2003 to 2011.
