Pittsburgh Student Shared ‘N**ger Hunting License’ Image on Social Media

A Pittsburgh high school student was removed from school after posting a fake image of a hunting license to his Snapchat featuring a racial slur. The student was reportedly sent home December 1 after school officials became aware of his fake “Federal N*****r Hunting License.”

Highlands School District superintendent Dr. Michael Bjalobok called the post "totally unacceptable" even if the student regarded it as a joke. The fraudulent license purports to allows the holder to hunt and kill African Americans from January 1 to December 31. 

 "…it got forwarded to multiple [people], that’s when we became aware. Someone turned it into [Principal Dan Gottron], he started to investigate and follow through with that," Bjalobok told CBS Pittsburgh, adding, "It’s just a horrible type of situation. Totally unacceptable to the Highlands School District. We will not tolerate this and we’re going to definitely follow our board policy in issuing consequences for this action."

Families in the school district will be notified of the incident, but it is not clear whether the student is expelled or suspended.

Community member Regis Uhric said the post is, "an outrage, I think it’s stupid."
