The robbery suspect who took 11 people hostage inside a bank in Jacksonville, Florida has been arrested, the sheriff's office said in a Twitter message on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Ten minutes before the arrest, police were able to free 11 hostages from inside the bank, the sheriff's office noted in an earlier post.

"Community First Credit Union — Bank robbery suspect/hostage taker is in police custody," the message stated.

There's no word yet on a motive or if anyone was injured.
