US House Democrats Reelect Nancy Pelosi as Minority Leader

US Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi has been reelected as Democratic leader in the US House of Representatives, Democrats said in a statement on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Pelosi, who represents the state of California in the US Congress, served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2007 till 2011, becoming the first female speaker in US history. She has occupied senior positions in the House leadership since 2002 and currently serves as the Democratic Leader of the US House of Representatives for the 113th Congress.

"Nancy Pelosi has been elected Democratic Leader for the 115th Congress Pelosi-134 Ryan 63," the Twitter message stated.
