    US President-elect Donald Trump will meet with retired Gen. David Petraeus as he continues to finalize positions in the upcoming administration, transition team spokesperson Sean Spicer said on Monday. He will also meet former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and US Senator Bob Corker on Tuesday.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day it was reported that retired four-star general and former CIA Director David Petraeus is being considered as US state secretary.

    "Meetings begin in early afternoon," Spicer said during a briefing with reporters. "[Meetings include] Gen. David Petraeus."

    "[Trump] will cap off the day with former governor Mitt Romney," Spicer told reporters.

    Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will also meet with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, Spicer added.
