WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Overall, Americans said they have more confidence in Trump compared with similar polls conducted during the early transition periods for Obama and predecessors George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan, according to the poll.
"Nearly three-quarters say Trump is likely to repeal and replace Obamacare, two-thirds think he will renegotiate NAFTA and 6 in 10 say he'll create good-paying jobs in economically challenged areas," CNN said in a report explaining the poll.
In addition, 63 percent of those surveyed said they expect the US economy to be in better shape a year from now, the highest share to say so since two months before Obama’s re-election in 2012 presidential election.
As for Trump’s performance two weeks into the post-election transition, views expressed were less clear-cut, with 48 percent saying they are more confident in a Trump presidency, 43 percent less confident and 7 percent expressing no opinion.
