About 150 individuals protesting against US President-Elect Donald Trump were detained in the center of Los Angeles, local media reported Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The protesters were arrested after ignoring the police order to disperse, according to the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

The demonstration reportedly attracted about 3,000 people, who were marching through the center of the city shouting "Not my president."

Protests erupted in multiple US cities after it became clear on Wednesday that Republican Party nominee Donald Trump would win the presidency, prevailing over his Democratic rival Hilary Clinton.
