WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The first official results of the US presidential election from three villages in New Hampshire have been confirmed, with 32-25 vote edge for Republican candidate Donald Trump over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, officials said on Tuesday.
"Official tally boards from New Hampshire Towns Dixville Notch, Hart's Location and Millsfield show Trump beat Clinton 32-25," according to results posted by local election officials.
Polls in the three villages opened at midnight and closed after all registered voters had cast their ballots.
Libertarian Gary Johnson picked up three votes. US Senator and former Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, Governor John Kasich and 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney received write-in votes.
