WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Mook also forecast Clinton’s victory in the battleground states of Florida and North Carolina. He explained that Latino and Asian-American turnout has doubled in the states.

"Across the country, through our efforts to build that ground game, register people to vote and turn them out, we have established a lead in some states that Donald Trump can't overcome," Mook told CBS News.

According to the latest Quinnipiac University poll, Clinton is one point ahead of Trump in Florida, 46 to 45 percent. The poll revealed that in North Carolina, 47 percent of respondents back Clinton and 45 percent favor Trump.

The US presidential election will take place on Tuesday, November 8.
