WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Clinton has 41 percent of likely voters’ support, compared with 38 percent who favor Trump, a Politico/Morning Consult survey found.

Before Monday’s debate, Clinton had only a one-point lead over her main rival in the November 8 election.

In addition, 49 percent of respondents declared Clinton the winner of the debate, while only 26 percent said Trump won, according to the poll.

The second of three Clinton-Trump debates is scheduled for October 9.
