Clinton Raises $143Mln in August in Best Fundraising Month of Campaign
19:48 GMT 01.09.2016 (Updated: 21:36 GMT 01.09.2016) Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has raised more than $140 million during the month of August, with an average donation of about $50, the Clinton campaign announced in a release on Thursday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook said the funds will allow to "organize and mobilize" voters across the United States.
1 September 2016, 19:01 GMT
"Hillary Clinton had her best fundraising month of the campaign in August, bringing in about $143 million for Hillary for America (HFA) and the Democratic Party," the release stated.

Mook noted that "divisive rhetoric" of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has driven voters away from the Republican Party and created new opportunity for Democrats.
A poll by Rasmussen Reports on Thursday unveiled that nationwide support for both major US presidential candidates has fallen since the beginning of August, with a steeper plunge for Clinton resulting in a one percentage point lead for Trump.
