MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A total of 50 percent of respondents said they would rather vote for Clinton than Trump, while 41 percent preferred the Republican candidate, the NBC/Survey Monkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll conducted on August 8-14 showed.
When it comes to the choice between all four presidential candidates, Clinton also leads the field, with 43 percent support. Trump is in second with 37 percent, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson is supported by 11 percent of respondents and Green Party candidate Jill Stein — by 4 percent.
At the same time, more than half of respondents said they had negative impressions of both Clinton and Trump.
The US presidential election is scheduled to take place on November 8.
