The release noted 35-year-old Hendricks claimed to have ten members signed up for his cell.
Moreover, according to the release, Hendricks was interested in targeting military members whose information was released by Daesh and the woman who organized a 'Draw Prophet Mohammad" contest in the US state of Texas.
Hendricks is charged with conspiring to provide material support to Daesh. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
The Islamic State, or Daesh in Arabic, is a terrorist group banned in Russia, the United States and many other countries.
