What is Known So Far About Deadly Nightclub Shooting in Orlando
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday, US national Omar Mateen, killed 50 people and injured 53 at Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando. The Orlando massacre has become the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States, surpassing the death toll from the 2007 incident at Virginia Tech, which claimed 32 lives.

"It is no coincidence that this happened in Orlando. Mateen was enrolled in [Robertson’s online] Fundamental Islamic Knowledge Seminary," a police source told Fox News.

Robertson, a former gang leader and robber, reportedly turned to radical Islamist teachings he preached online after his release from prison in Florida.
