WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — It is still too early to determine if the suspects in the Brussels terrorist attacks used any encrypted communications, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch said during a press conference on Thursday.
"With respect to the Brussels attack, it's too early to tell what role encrypted communications may or may not have played, we just don't have that information yet," Lynch stated.
On Tuesday, 31 people were killed and some 300 injured in two bomb blasts in the Brussels Zaventem airport and an explosion at the metro station in central Brussels. The country's security level has been raised to maximum following the attacks.
