"We demand that you immediately provide the… information… for Farook and Malik, which would include the immigration history of their parents and any immigration documents related to their marriage and her subsequent travel to the U.S.," the letter sent to the heads of the US Department of State, the Justice Department and Homeland Security Department said Wednesday.
This is the second letter by Cruz and Sessions asking for immigration information on individuals whose connections with terrorists have been identified. On August 12, they requested information on 72 individuals.
Following the San Bernardino gun assault, US President Barack Obama said that the FBI was looking into possible motives behind the shootings, adding that the possibility of terrorism had not been excluded.
