Police in Ferguson are investigating the shooting of a man and the shattering of a police car window nearby in the southwest US suburb, local media reported Sunday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Both incidents took place at around midnight during rallies marking the one-year anniversary of the shooting of African-American teenager Michael Brown a year ago, according to KMOX Radio.

The St. Louis County Police Department said on its Twitter account that a suspect was in custody, and that the victim had received first aid and been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The police added that they were investigating the broken rear window of a Florissant Police car. KMOX reported it was unclear whether the two incidents were related.

No identities have yet been released by authorities and a previous account by a KMOX Radio journalist said there was one fatality in the shooting.
