MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A “Perry for President” logo has appeared on the former governor’s website and a video posted on the portal showed Perry telling voters "we have the power to make our country new again."

Perry, 65, served as Governor of Texas from 2000 to January 2015, the longest serving governor in the history of the state.

This is Perry’s second bid for Republican nomination. He ran for the 2012 presidential election but suspended his campaign and endorsed Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

The current bid may be complicated for Perry as he was indicted on felony charges for abuse of power in August 2014.
