Police officers fatally shot an apparently unarmed homeless man, who was running away from them with his hands raised in the air.
The incident took place at a busy intersection during rush hour in the city of Pasco, Washington. It was filmed and uploaded to YouTube.
Police said they were responding to a report of a man throwing rocks at cars. When they arrived at the scene, the victim, identified as Antonio Zambrano-Montes, 35, threw several rocks at them hitting the officers and refused to put the stones down.
Zambrano-Montes then tried to run away but stopped, turned around with his hands in the air when the officers shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
