Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva won a gold medal at the World Figure Skating Championships in Boston, the United States, R-Sport reported Sunday.
BOSTON (Sputnik) – Medvedeva broke the world record in free skating scoring 150.10 points as well.
Medvedeva secured a total of 223.86 points after a short program and free skating.
The figure skater was followed by Ashley Wagner of the United States and Russia’s Anna Pogorilaya.
The previous record was set by South Korea’s Kim Yuna at the 2010 Olympic Games in Canada’s Vancouver.
