The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) plans to come up with a list of criteria to check the work of the suspended All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF) in December, IAAF said in a statement issued after its council met in Monaco.

MONTE CARLO (Sputnik) – IAAF provisionally suspended ARAF earlier this month, following a report by an independent investigative commission of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accusing Russia of violating global anti-doping rules.

"Council discussed the process which over the next three weeks will lead to a final set of criteria and the verification process. The plan is to present a detailed list of verification criteria to ARAF by the end of the year," the Thursday statement said.

According to IAAF, ARAF has accepted its full suspension and has not requested an appeal hearing.

The IAAF Council stressed in its Thursday statement that it would only accept the reinstatement of ARAF as an IAAF member if the association’s inspection team confirms that ARAF has fulfilled all verification criteria.
