    Russia beat the Czech Republic 5-1 on Sunday to win the Channel One Cup of the Euro Hockey Tour in Moscow.

    MOSCOW, December 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia beat the Czech Republic 5-1 on Sunday to win the Channel One Cup of the Euro Hockey Tour in Moscow.

    The Channel One Cup in Moscow, the successor of once famous Izvestia Cup, is one of four tournaments in the Euro Hockey Tour, an unofficial European championship involving Europe's top four men's teams.

    Russia has won all the three games of the Moscow tour to take up the first place with 9 points, followed by the Czech Republic with 4 points, Finland with 2 points and Sweden with 0 points. Finland and Sweden will play the last game of the Moscow tour later on Sunday.

    Last year, Russia also claimed the Channel One Cup with 7 points, followed by Finland (6 points), Sweden (5 points) and the Czech Republic (0 points).
