A total of 367 survivors of a boat carrying migrants in the Mediterranean Sea that sank on Wednesday are being transported to the Italian island of Sicily on board the Irish patrol vessel LE Niamh, The Irish Times reported on Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A vessel believed to have been carrying up to 700 people from North Africa capsized about 17 miles off the Libyan coast on Wednesday.

The Irish vessel is also carrying 25 recovered bodies, according to the newspaper. At least 185 people are feared dead.

The number of victims of the incident may be the highest since a boat with some 800 undocumented migrants on board sank in the Mediterranean in April.
